Margaret Izotov
FOUNDER and CO-DIRECTOR
Margaret is a 3rd degree black belt in Shotokan karate, and a blue belt in jiujitsu under Richie Martinez. She is currently pursuing her Master's in Child Development at SDSU. She has been running after school martial arts enrichment programs for 3 years, and is focused on sharing her love of martial arts with young children while promoting positive growth and development in a child’s formative years of learning.

Sam Turpin
CO-DIRECTOR
Sam is an MMA fighter who holds a purple belt in jiujitsu under Richie Martinez, a brown belt in judo under John Ramos, and a brown belt under Brian Cowell at SwiftKick. He also has 7 years of kickboxing experience. He has been teaching martial arts since 2015 and is constantly striving to improve as a coach and practitioner. He is excited to be a part of this venture as a leader and coach.

Yovana Miramontes
COACH
Yovana has been learning and training Muay Thai “the art of eight limbs” for 4 years. Her teacher is a Vietnam War veteran from Siam who has been practicing Muay Thai for over 60 years. He has taken her under his wing and has been showing her the “nak muay” way since 2019. She looks forward to sharing what she has learned with the next generation of warriors and embrace the fun challenge of teaching young minds this beautiful sport.

John Yang
COACH
John is a dedicated individual with a passion for combat sports and mentoring young minds. With several years of high school wrestling experience and current training at an MMA gym, he finds fulfillment in the physical and mental aspects of training. Having personally experienced the positive impact of sports during his formative years, he is excited to work with kids, empowering and instilling in them values of respect, capability, commitment, and excellence.

Madeline Yang
COACH
Madeline has always loved working with kids, and has done so since she was 13, leading her own groups at summer camps. She grew up playing the violin, piano, tennis, and doing swim through high school, and she would not be the person that she it today without those experiences. She is grateful for the opportunity to teach children discipline, respect, perseverance in a fun learning environment to help them be someone they will be proud of when they grow up.
